THE BROTHERHOOD OF THE STAR: A Hispanic Christmas 1300-1700

This is a multi-hued holiday celebration from the Spanish-speaking parts of the globe.

The Boston Camerata returns to our area for its annual holiday concert.

This year the concert is under the direction of Joel Cohen, Music Director Emeritus. The Camerata is assisted by the Haitian women's choir "Les Fleurs des Caraïbes".
We are lucky to have a local connection with Artistic Director Anne Azéma and Joel Cohen, who live in Amesbury. First Parish Church in Newbury welcomes them, and us, to its lovely 19th century sanctuary, in a space that seems designed for live music.


The program also includes the astonishing, colorful presence of African rhythms
and voices during a Christmas season in Nueva España.
