The evening offers local politicians a different kind of stage to showcase their "other sides" during this election season. Area mayoral and city council candidates throwing their hats in the ring this November will impress the audience with their lesser-known talents — singing, dancing, acting and more -- while other local notables sit and judge them from the sidelines. It promises to be an uproarious good time with plenty of surprise guests. Imagine, all this fun and all for a great cause!


ABOUT ROOF OVER HEAD:

The Roof Over Head Collaborative (ROOF), a Massachusetts-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit, combines the energy and talent of local citizens committed to reducing homelessness. Established in 2009, ROOF collaborates with local social service organizations that work with the homeless populations in the Amesbury, Newburyport, and Salisbury area. Their focus is homeless families, notably the children who are so traumatically impacted by homelessness.

ROOF will undertake fundraising to acquire and manage properties. ROOF will also lease rental units from local landlords. They seek private funding and will use the scattered-site approach when selecting properties. Their objective is to help homeless families live with dignity, gain stability, and move on with their lives.
