Seventy five people gathered on March 5 to discuss these issues in a session led by Ingrid Cyros, Executive Director of the Hugh Doyle Resource Center in Newburyport. See details on the meeting in this article from the Newburyport Daily News.
The free discussion series on poverty in the Greater Newburyport area continues on Wednesday, April 2, and Wednesday, May 7, from 7-8 pm at the First Religious Society (26 Pleasant Street, Newburyport). We will delve into different aspects of poverty as we invite anti-poverty professionals to come and share their information with us. Join us to learn more about poverty and gain insight into actions we can take to help those in need. The April Meeting will feature a speaker from the Walk for Hunger, which supports local food pantries.
