Newburyport Art Presents the Members' Fall Juried Show

Newburyport Art (NAA) is excited to announce the 2023 Members’ Fall Juried Show, on view in the Sargent, Hills, and Hartson Galleries. This show features 90 artworks across a variety of media and genres, including painting, printmaking, sculpture, photography, mixed media, drawing and digital art. This exhibition also showcases a wide breadth of techniques — from traditional to contemporary. Newburyport Art’s annual Fall Juried Show is a long-time favorite of its members, and this year’s show promises to impress. 

This exhibition was juried by Markus Sebastiano, a Boston-based mixed media artist and owner of Blochaus Art Gallery in Newburyport. Markus's unique style of layering vintage paper, digital art transparencies, spray paint, acrylic, and resin has helped make his work very recognizable, especially in Massachusetts. He draws inspiration from textures of the past to combine them with contemporary photographic elements. He refers to his style as "Vintage Future." With Blochaus, Markus is also a collaborator with Newburyport Art on the Newburyport Murals Project, which aims to bring public art murals to downtown Newburyport. Recently, Markus participated in NAA’s 22nd Annual Art Auction as a 100% donating artist.

The galleries are free and open to the public Tuesday through Saturday from 11:00am–5:00pm and Sunday from 1:00pm–5:00pm. Newburyport Art is closed on Mondays.
