Joppa Dance Company: Fools for Dance at Firehouse Center for the Arts

Two performances! 2pm and 5pm. This performance will feature new dances by directors, Fontaine Dubus, Jen Steeves and Cheryl Schwind as well as new modern and ballet dances by Pam Smith.

Each Joppa performance also includes student choreography. Joppa directors have always felt that encouraging students to create their own work makes them more independent artists if they decide to pursue dance and the arts. Ranging from lyrical to hip-hop, these pieces always impress. Music selections include Cold Play, Ani DiFranco, LMFAO, Louis Armstrong and more.

Joppa Dance Company began in the 80's to give its members more experience performing and more involvement in the creative process. Joppa dancers have gracefully moved on to careers in dance and theater in Boston, New York, and even Europe!
