Together, Anna Jaques Hospital and Commonwealth Newburyport Cancer Center, present an engaging event to educate the community about cancer-fighting foods and nutrition.
This engaging food demonstration, tasting, and seminar will educate the community about cancer prevention and nutrition. The event will be led by local holistic health counselor, Tanya Tzitzon, who will give a brief overview of basic foods, like fresh or frozen vegetables and fruits, whole grains, healthy good quality fats, legumes, quality proteins and herbs and spices that should be incorporated into your diet and why. Based on research from author and neuroscience researcher David Servan-Schreiber, MD, PhD, Tanya works with people to harness the power of cancer-fighting foods.
Tanya Tzitzon is a holistic health counselor, currently working with clients to help them transition to a more healthful and supportive lifestyle. She is a firm believer in using fresh locally sourced, in season
ingredients when possible. When not working with clients she can be found hiking or running outdoors. She strongly believes that finding an activity or hobby that incorporates consistent physical activity is an essential part of healthy living. Tanya is a graduate of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in NY, attended the Way to Health Program at the Kushi Institute in Beckett MA, and the whole foods cooking program at the Natural Gourmet Cookery School in Manhattan NY.
This event is free and open to the public. Please RSVP to 978-463-1185 to secure your spot.
