Artist in Session Series: Painting Demonstration by Maris Platais

The Walsingham Gallery’s Artist in Session Series presents a painting demonstration by artist Maris Platais, Saturday, September 10th, 1-5pm.


Maris Platais was born in Latvia and has lived in New England since 1949. A graduate of Tufts University and The Museum School of Fine Arts in Boston, where he later became a member of the faculty, Platais is a nationally known marine and landscape artist. He currently lives in Carlisle, Massachusetts.

 Scheduled May-October, the Artist in Session series provides the opportunity to catch a rare glimpse into the creative process as the artist demonstrates their personal techniques in our intimate gallery setting.
